YAMA is studying how yoga therapy impacts children’s development, especially for those with disabilities and special needs. Yoga therapy is a growing mind-body intervention, but research on its benefits for kids is limited. We need families to help with our control group data. Join us in proving yoga therapy can support children’s growth and development!

Your Involvement:

We are seeking 50 children with moderate to severe special needs or physical disabilities (under 18 years) to participate by receiving two required assessments with Dr. Becher, a registered Clinical and Educational Psychologist from the Child Development Centre, Hong Kong:

我們現正招募 50 位年齡介乎 18 歲以下、患有中度至嚴重度特殊需要或身體殘疾的兒童參與。參與者將接受兩次由香港明德兒童啟育中心註冊臨床及教育心理學家 Dr. Becher 進行的評估：

1. Initial 30 minute assessment by appointment scheduled monthly. 首次評估：須時30分鐘，需提前預約，預約日期時間於每月作安排。

2. Second assessment (10 weeks later)  第二次評估：於10星期後進行

Participation is free, and all assessments must be completed. After the second assessment, your child will have the option to join YAMA’s flagship Yoga Therapy Scholarship Scheme (YTSS) and will receive priority placement. For details about YTSS, please visit: https://yamahk.org/ytss.
