Yoga At the CareER Charity Marathon
YAMA Foundation once again supported the CareER charity event. This is the third year that we have supported the charity that looks to help persons with disabilities (PWDs) and special needs (SEN) gain access to higher education and employment placement.
Stretching, breathing and meditation were conducted for participants who attended the charity run. The mindful practice attracted lots of runners to slow down, pause and acquire inner peace inside.
The session was taught by YAMA’s lead teacher for people with special needs, Pacsy Lam, along with Catrin, YAMA’s Ambassador helping us with demonstration on stage. The goal of our participation was to prove that yoga is an accessible practice that is suited to any age or ability, background or body type.
Yoga teaching can also be a career option for people with disability.
