Born and raised in Hong Kong, Angel Leung is a credentialed music therapist (USA and Canada) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit music therapist (NICU MT). Upon receiving her bachelor degree majoring in music at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Angel furthered her studies in music therapy in the United States and received her master degree in music therapy from Western Michigan University (WMU) with first class honor.

Angel is the first Hong Kong music therapist being published in a first-tier peer-review professional music therapy journal, and is a frequent speaker at numerous national and international conferences about her expertise in international music therapy issues. In addition, Angel was invited to guest lecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University respectively. Furthermore, Angel was invited to share her expertise at TEDxHK and Hong Kong Arts Festival – No Limits, which made her the first credentialed music therapist in the area speaking in event of such scale.

Throughout the years as a music therapy professional, Angel has worked with a very wide range of clientele ranging from preschool children with speech delay to geriatric diagnosed with dementia in various settings. In her clinical work, she has collaborated with other healthcare professionals including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, psychologists, doctors and nurses.

Angel is one of the first credentialed music therapists with extensive overseas clinical experience upon returning Hong Kong, and currently an active clinician working with various organizations and clientele in Hong Kong. She is the co-founder of the Institute for Creative Arts Therapy (HK), lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University, HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education, Caritas Institute of Higher Education, St. Paul University Manila and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and one of the authors of the music therapy books “Clinical Decision-making in Music Therapy: Case Studies” and “Music – not that simple: music therapy case sharing”.

Angel Leung 在香港土生土長，是持有美國及加拿大認證的音樂治療師，亦是新生兒深切治療部音樂治療師（NICU MT）。她在香港中文大學取得音樂學士學位後，赴美國深造音樂治療，並以一級榮譽畢業於西密歇根大學（WMU），取得音樂治療碩士學位。

Angel 是首位在一級同行評審專業音樂治療期刊上發表論文的香港音樂治療師，亦經常在多個國內及國際會議上分享她在國際音樂治療議題方面的專業知識。此外，她曾獲邀到香港中文大學及香港浸會大學擔任客席講師。Angel 亦曾獲邀在 TEDxHK 及香港藝術節「無限亮」中分享她的專業見解，成為首位在如此大規模活動中演講的持認證音樂治療師。

多年來作為音樂治療專業人員，Angel 曾在不同環境中服務過廣泛的服務對象，涵蓋由語言發展遲緩的學前兒童至患有認知障礙症的長者。在臨床工作中，她曾與職業治療師、物理治療師、言語治療師、心理學家、醫生及護士等不同醫療專業人員緊密合作。

Angel 是首批擁有豐富海外臨床經驗並回港執業的持認證音樂治療師之一，目前積極與香港多個機構及不同服務對象進行臨床工作。她是創意藝術治療學院（香港）的聯合創辦人，同時任教於香港浸會大學、香港大學專業進修學院、明愛專上學院、馬尼拉聖保祿大學及香港中文大學（深圳），亦是音樂治療書籍《Clinical Decision-making in Music Therapy: Case Studies》及《音樂——不簡單：音樂治療個案分享》的其中一位作者。
