Our Outreach Programs
We reach out to different charitable organisations around Hong Kong, taking special care to match teachers that are trauma-informed and fully qualified to work with communities with disabilities or special needs. Teachers are carefully scrutinised to ensure their commitment to show up for clients who are often vulnerable and have few options for self care and well being.
CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS & TERMINAL ILLNESS
Our core offering is dedicated to children with special needs and terminal illness. We have a range of classes in Hong Kong, working in some of the poorest neighbourhoods to reach children with a range of needs. We have programs running at the Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Hub Hong Kong - Community centre for children living in extreme poverty, and yoga for children with special needs classes.
ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES & CHRONIC ILLNESS
Children grow up to be adults and often adults with special needs or disabilities are forgotten. Our services include one-off workshops to classes in residential care homes, as well as open classes for those suffering with cancer, as well as the elderly living in poverty.
VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES
Approximately 15% of Hong Kong's population lives in poverty and a large portion of these communities are ethnic minorities. We offer programs to help vulnerable communities manage stress. We have provided programs to ethnic minority women, asylum seekers, and women in prisons.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
We have partnered with a number of organisations to offer our services or support to the community. We have participated in sporting events for children with special needs and charity walkathons, as well as more intimate events to support parents and families of children with special needs.
